Aspects to Consider
-
Your cargo may be damaged during transit if other LCL shipments are not properly packaged. Other factors such as bad weather at sea could also cause damage to cargo. Stopovers and intermodal transportation also increase the risk of damage to cargo, as it has to pass through the hands of more people. That being said, be sure to properly pack your cargo to prevent potential damage as much as possible.
-
LCL prices depend on cargo volume, not the weight.
-
Motor vehicles cannot be shipped on an LCL.
-
Depending on the type of goods you are shipping, and the country of origin and/or destination, you may have to present additional documents and certificates.
